Frequently Asked Questions

Everything creators and investors need to know about how MRE values, verifies, and trades media royalty assets.

Key Financial Terms

The metrics that drive every valuation on MRE.

TTM stands for Trailing Twelve Months — the total royalty income an asset has actually earned across the most recent 12 calendar months. It is the single most important input in valuing an established catalog.

Why it matters: TTM reflects real, audited cash flow — not projections — and forms the base for the Revenue × Multiple valuation model.
Valuation = TTM Revenue × Valuation Multiple
e.g. ₹50,00,000 × 4x = ₹2,00,00,000
Only catalogs with ≥12 months of distributor royalty statements qualify for the Established Track. Anything shorter must list on the Emerging Track.
